A Week with Anna
One Monday morning, Anna woke up early. She opened the window and said, “Hello, sun!” The sky was blue, and the air felt fresh. She put on her red dress, brushed her hair, and walked down to the kitchen.
Her mother was making breakfast. “Good morning, Anna!” she said. “Do you want eggs or bread?”
“Both, please,” Anna answered. She drank milk and ate quickly. “Today, I need to go to the market,” she told her mother.
After breakfast, Anna took her bag and left the house. Outside, she saw her friend, Tom, riding his bike. “Hi, Tom! Where are you going?” she asked.
“To the park! Come with me!” he said.
“Sorry, I can’t. I have to buy food,” Anna explained.
At the market, Anna bought apples, bread, and cheese. The seller gave her five coins as change. She put the money in her pocket and walked home.
That night, Anna helped her father cook dinner. They talked about work, family, and the weather. “Tomorrow will be sunny again,” her father predicted.
On Tuesday, Anna visited her grandmother. The old woman lived in a small house near the river. “How are you, Grandma?” Anna asked.
“Fine, dear! Sit down and drink tea,” her grandmother replied. They spent hours sharing stories and laughing.
Later, Anna took a bus to the city. She met her brother, Lucas, at the station. “What time is it?” she asked.
“Three o’clock,” he answered. “Let’s find a cafe.”
They ordered coffee and cake and discussed school, friends, and future plans.
Wednesday was busy. Anna cleaned her room, washed clothes, and studied English. She read a book, wrote notes, and practiced new words. Sometimes, she stopped to listen to music or watch birds outside.
In the evening, her sister, Emma, called. “Can you help me with my homework?” Emma asked.
“Of course! Meet me here after school,” Anna said.
Thursday morning, Anna ran to the library. She returned three books and borrowed two more. The librarian smiled and said, “Thank you!”
After lunch, Anna went to the gym. She exercised, played tennis, and met new people. “Do you like sports?” a girl asked.
“Yes! Especially running and swimming,” Anna replied.
Friday night, Anna’s family ate pizza and watched a movie. “This is fun!” her little brother, Max, shouted. They laughed, talked, and enjoyed the time together.
Before bed, Anna wrote in her diary:
“Today was perfect. I loved every moment. Tomorrow, I will rest and prepare for Sunday’s party.”
Saturday morning, Anna slept late. At noon, she baked cookies and prepared games for the party. Her friends arrived around seven. They danced, sang, and ate until midnight.
On Sunday, Anna felt tired but happy. She thought, “Life is full of small joys. Next week, I will try harder, learn more, and help others.”
